Voor Belgische ouders: contact dr. Bert Callewaert
Wij hebben onderstaand verzoek ontvangen via SATB2 Europe:
After the virtual round table (thank you again for promoting it as well on your webpage!) one Belgian geneticist from Ghent University hospital reached out to me that he would like to help and be involved in the clinical network in Belgium and also on EU level.
I told him that I will introduce him to your foundation and that you can collaborate on that in the future. At the moment he is treating 2 SAS patients there and are already in contact with dr. Zarate and his colleague dr. Vergult is working also on the research on SATB2 genomics .
It would be good to use his willingness to collaborate and finding out more how you can all benefit from it at your Belgian SAS community and probably also facilitate the Dutch-Belgian collaboration among clinicians.
One way to move things forward is to reach out to Belgian families and ask them if their clinicians (geneticist, neurologists) can get in contact with him.
